Stucco Render Repairs

Stucco or smooth render was commonly used in parts of Great Britain in the early 19th century. Its use was to imitate stone features as a more cost effective alternative and predominantly applied over brickwork.

The main cause of failure is usually resulted from neglect of maintenance of the façade. Water ingresses through cracks in stucco or paint and where it cannot escape is liable to accelerate deterioration and de-bonding of the surface layers of stucco to sub-base masonry.
